Ravelin Connect lets you see connections across customers, emails, telephone numbers, devices and credit cards in a simple, easy-to-use visualisation. It can be used to investigate fake accounts or uncover fraud rings.
You can search for a customer’s email address, phone number or id and instantly see what their network looks like, providing important context to your investigation.
Ravelin creates networks by connecting customers that share any of the following:
- Telephone numbers
- Email addresses
- Payment Methods
Deleting Links in a Network
If you think that two customers should not be connected to each other, you may wish to delete the connection between the two customers.
To delete a link between two nodes in a network:
- Click the Edit graph button at the bottom left.
- Select the link you wish to delete.
- Confirm that you wish to proceed with deleting the link.
- View the update network.
Note: Once you delete a link, you will not be able to reconnect it.
Go to the Ravelin Connect app. You can see an overview of fastest growing and biggest networks across your customers as well as a summary of the most connected entities (phones, emails, devices, customers, cards) under the Discover tab.
If a network exists you will see a network overview and the network graph with all the connections.
If you are an Enterprise client, you can also access a customer’s network by clicking the 'View Connect' button on the customer's profile page.
On a customer's network page, the left-hand panel displays stats about the customers in the network. A customer's network contains fraud if there is one or more reviewed fraudster or chargeback within the network.
To view how a customer is connected to a fraud source, click the 'Direct Path' toggle. This will display the customer's closest path to a fraud source.
Direct Path to Fraud
The Direct Path to Fraud toggle allows you to view the direct connection to a fraud score. Fraud sources include chargebacks and customers who are reviewed as fraudsters.
Network Insights shows you the score distribution, last action and top email domain providers for the network you are investigating. If you don't want to see this information, you can use the toggle in the panel on the left to turn it off.
If you want to view information for a specific node, you can see the score and last action for a customer if you hover over the customer node.
Hide Unconnected Nodes
You can click the toggle to filter the network. This will grey out nodes that only connect to one customer, except chargebacks.
You can adjust the Network Depth slider to change the distance from the central node of the network.
The Network Growth toggle allows you to adjust a slider to show network growth over time.
